Internship opportunities

At the end of their studies (8th semester), IBT students are required to work in an organization of their choice for 2 months full-time (40 hours a week) or 3 months part-time (25 hours per week). In total, students will have to complete at least 320 hours of employment. • Select the business sectors and types of companies / positions that they would be interested in continuing their professional career
  • Distinguish the difference between theory, as this has been taught in the lectures and the practice, as applied by companies today
  • Analyze the impact of external and internal factors on the performance of the organizations they were employed in
  • Apply theories and models taught in the courses to some of the best businesses and organizations in Greece and abroad
  • Propose well-argued and grounded actions to improve the performance of the organizations they have worked for

Erasmus+

IBT students will have the opportunity of international mobility through ERASMUS+ program. AUEB is provided with the opportunity to submit applications for funding to the European Commission for participation in student mobility programs for studies or internships, teaching staff for teaching or training and administrative staff for training, as well as in academic cooperation projects with other European institutions within the framework of the Erasmus+ Program.

AUEB’s administrative staff actively participates in its administrative operation, complies with the requirements of the Internal Quality Assurance System, and contributes to the continuous consolidation and improvement of its effectiveness.

AUEB’s students actively participate in the educational process, through regular monitoring, studying, and improving their performance. Additionally, they play an important role in the internal and/or external quality assurance processes mainly through their participation in the satisfaction surveys of the educational and administrative work. Finally, students, through their representation in bodies, committees, or groups, are given the opportunity to participate in decision-making processes and submit their proposals.

In this context, AUEB’s administration supports the University’s evaluation procedures which are coordinated by the Quality Assurance Unit (QAU), while encouraging the use of various total quality management tools for the operation of the Internal Quality Assurance System.

The Athens University of Economics and Business has successfully completed the internal evaluation process of the National Quality Assurance Agency for all (8) its academic departments. AUEB is the first University to complete this process for all the departments of the University.
