On June 7th 2024, the Athens University of Economics and Business welcomed a six-member delegation from University of International Business and Economics (UIBE), a prestigious Chinese university with which the Athens University of Economics and Business has a long history of collaboration.

Specifically, other than a signed MOU UIBE is AUEB’s counterpart in founding AUEB’s Business Confucius Institute in Athens.

On behalf of the AUEB, the delegation was welcomed in the Senate Hall by Rector Prof. Dimitrios Bourantonis, Vice Rector for International Cooperation and Growth Prof. Vasilis Papadakis, and Associate Professor of Management at the Department of Business Administration Alexandros Papalexandris.

The aim of the UIBE’s visit was to further strengthen relations between the two institutions and explore additional ways of cooperation. The two sides met in a very warm atmosphere. The meeting concluded with both sides committing to further strengthen their partnership through the creation of two working groups that will examine further modalities of partnership.

The program is exclusively addressed to:

  • (a) Foreign citizens of countries in or outside the EU who hold International Baccalaureate or Senior High School Graduate Certificate of a school based abroad and have attended the last two years of their studies in full time status on site.

or

  • (b) Foreign students of countries in or outside the EU who hold International Baccalaureate or Senior High School Graduate Certificate of an international school based in Greece if a) they and their parents do not hold a Greek citizenship and b) have attended the last two years of their studies in full time status on site.
