Not at all. The Bachelor in International Business and Technology (iBT) at AUEB welcomes applications from high school graduates of every type of academic field. No prior knowledge of business, economics or technology is required, and all related skills will be developed during the program.
To gain admission to the program all candidates are required to submit a recent certificate of good standing, demonstrating knowledge of English at B2 CEFR level at minimum. Since iBT is taught entirely in English, it is important that all incoming students be at a level that will allow them to attend courses effortlessly in terms of language comprehension.
Applications are ongoing throughout the year. The earlier prospective students are encouraged to apply early as places are limited.
Greek Universities do not have dormitories available to international students. This means that incoming students must look for accommodation in Athens prior to their arrival. The University is actively assisting students with the search for housing. AUEB has developed significant expertise in this area, since already more than 500 international students every year come to AUEB to study, mostly through the Erasmus program. As such, AUEB can direct admitted students to reputable housing agents, introduce them to existing international student networks that provide practical advice, and suggest areas to stay.
Renting prices have been increasing in Athens the past years, in line with similar price increases in most other European countries. However, an acceptable renting price depends greatly on factors such as whether you will be staying alone or with a roommate, which area of Athens you will be choosing, how soon in advance you would be booking the facility, and finally, your own personal standards and preferences.
The University has a restaurant where all registered students can dine for free.
Students are required to pay 6.000 EUR per year of study. For a total of 4 years this amounts to 24.000 EUR for the duration of the program.
The program’s tuition fees do not cover anything other than registration and participation in the program. Students are required to purchase reading material, or incur other similar expenses independently.
Yes! Scholarships are available and based on merit. Incoming students can either receive a reduction in tuition fees prior to the program start based on their application’s academic strength; or students can receive similar reductions for exceptional performance during the program. Please inquire with the program’s Course Office for more information.
